Which Path Will You Follow

If the course is on the listNo petition is required.

1Verify that the course you wish to take is offered by the universities approved for summer school enrollment.
2Check that the course is included in the “List of Courses That Can Be Taken from Other Universities”.
3Register directly at the host university.

If the course is not on the listApproval must be obtained from the faculty member.

1Obtain course content approval from the relevant faculty member specified in the list.
2Fill out the petition.
3Submit the petition and the approval letter to the Department Student Affairs.

Course Content Compatibility

In the case of taking courses from another department or taking courses from another university during summer school, it is mandatory to obtain approval from the faculty member specified in the list for the course you wish to have counted. Approval can be obtained via institutional e-mail or by having it written and signed on the course syllabus printouts. The match must be clearly stated in the approval note.

Sample wording

Intra-departmental course transfer“The content of the MTM3512 Complex Analysis 1 course is 75% compatible in terms of content with the MAT4111 Complex Functions Theory 1 course.”

Course transfer from another university“The MTM2552 Integral Equations course is compatible with Istanbul Technical University's MAT 447/E Integral Equations course by at least 65% in local credits and 75% in course content.”
