THE MATTERS THAT STUDENTS WISHING TO TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS OF OUR UNIVERSITY IN THE 2023-2024 SPRING SEMESTER MUST PAY ATTENTION TO ARE SPECIFIED BELOW.
•The student is required to be eligible to graduate at the end of the SPRING semester (including courses for which they will take the Graduation Exam).
•There must be no course conflict between the courses intended to be taken from other departments and the student's entire schedule.
•A maximum of 2 courses may be taken on a one-time basis.
•The content of the course to be taken from other departments must be 75% equivalent.
•The total course credit limit that can be taken in a semester must not be exceeded.
•The fact that internships have not been completed does not pose an issue.
•Students who have previously taken courses from other departments cannot take courses again. (Except for summer school)
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS WHO WILL TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS;
•You can obtain approval via e-mail from any of the faculty members teaching our Department's course that corresponds to the course to be taken from the other department.
•You can make a request by sending the link to the course content of the other department course you wish to count from http://bologna.yildiz.edu.tr/ to the faculty member.
•In the approval e-mail, it must be stated clearly by the faculty member as in the example: "The content of the course MTM3512 Complex Analysis 1 is 75% equivalent in terms of content to the course MAT4111 Complex Function Theory 1."
•You must deliver the approval you received in person to the Department Student Affairs along with your signed petition between 21.02.2024 – 27.02.2024 (until the end of working hours).
(Petitions sent by e-mail are not accepted).
•20.02.2024 is the announcement date for courses closed by all departments. Please ensure that the course does not close when specifying it in your petition.
•Petitions submitted before and/or after the specified dates will not be evaluated.
Petition for Taking Courses from Another Department
Important Notice:
•Since the process of taking courses from another department coincides with the beginning of classes, you are required to attend the courses specified in your petition, even if your petition has not yet been concluded.
