Attention to Our Students Who Applied for Erasmus+ Study Mobility and Whose Names Were Announced on the EU Office Page;
An information meeting will be held by the department Erasmus coordinators on Monday, 2 March 2020 at 12:00 in room KMB-224 for students who applied for the 2020-2021 Academic Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility and whose names were announced on the EU office page. You are expected to show the necessary sensitivity regarding attendance at the meeting. During the meeting, information about the Program will be provided, our students from previous years will come and share their experiences with you, and preference forms and waiver forms will also be distributed.
Points to be considered:
· Documents containing the process schedule, university information, course adaptations, and language requirements have been sent to the e-mails that students provided to the EU office. Please check your e-mails.
· University information file: While making your preferences, attention should be paid to the semesters at the destination universities; students going for a single semester should choose single-semester universities, and students wishing to go for two semesters should choose two-semester universities. The student is required to take 30 ECTS for one semester and 60 ECTS for 2 semesters of courses from the host institution. Students will be placed in universities based on academic achievement ranking according to the quota and duration information stated in the bilateral agreement.
· Process schedule: This schedule will be adhered to during transactions, and no transaction will be made outside of it. You must follow the process closely. Students who are not placed in any university during the placement process to be conducted by the department coordinators between 02-06 March or who do not contact the department coordinator for any reason will not be able to benefit from the 2020-2021 academic year Erasmus+ Study Mobility.
· ADAPTATION FILE: This file contains the matches of the courses selected in the universities visited to date. Although students do not have to strictly adhere to this, we share it with you so that you can see the courses that may match.
· Passed courses cannot be retaken.
· Language Proficiency: The placement process is based on the academic achievement ranking. The specific conditions of the partner universities are also taken into consideration. Some universities require knowledge of their own languages, such as German. When making your preference, you need to pay attention to the countries with language proficiency requirements that we provide in the attachment. It will be to your benefit to collect information in advance regarding the medium of instruction or language certificate requirements of the institution you plan to attend. You may review the bilateral agreements of the relevant universities or browse the websites of the universities.
· The semester preferences requested during the application can be changed during the placement process. Each student placed in a university has the right to change university and semester once. We strongly recommend that you take this situation into consideration while making your preferences.
· If any of these conditions are not met, you cannot go to the country of your choice, even if you select it and are selected.
· During the university placement process, you must make a university preference and be placed in one of the quotas included in the existing agreements. Students who are not placed in any university after the placement process will not be able to benefit from Erasmus+ Study Mobility in the 2020-2021 academic year. There is no practice such as an Additional List or Reserve List. It is not anticipated that a new placement list will be requested from the departments after the placement process.
