Students wishing to take courses during the 2018-2019 Academic Year summer semester are deemed eligible to take courses from the universities specified below.
Istanbul Technical University
Middle East Technical University
Boğaziçi University
Istanbul University
Marmara University
1- You must print out the course contents of the courses you plan to take from the specified universities and have these course contents approved by the respective universities.
2- From our University's Bologna page, you must print out the content of the course you wish to have counted towards your program in our Department and obtain approval of equivalence, date, and signature from a faculty member who teaches that course.
Example: The content of the MAT2055 Differential Equations course is 75% equivalent to the content of the MTM2531 Differential Equations course.
(Write the statement of equivalence on the course content of the other university.)
3- You must submit a petition together with the course contents to the Department Student Affairs.
4- Afterwards, once these petitions are approved by the department adaptation committee, a Faculty Administrative Board decision is issued to be given to our students.
5- Our students may submit the issued Faculty Administrative Board decision to the university where they will take the course.
Issuing this decision takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks. (The Faculty Administrative Board convenes once a week.)
YTU students may take a total of at most 9 (nine) credits of courses from Higher Education Institutions other than YTU throughout a single Summer School semester. The credits of the courses to be taken are calculated taking into account the credits of the courses in the curriculum of the program in which the student is enrolled.
Regardless of the course hours, the credit of the course to be taken in the summer school must be equal to at least 65% of the credit of the course deemed equivalent.
At least 75% of the content of the course to be taken in the summer school (based on the weekly course syllabus) must be identical to the content of the course deemed equivalent.
