THE POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED BY STUDENTS WISHING TO TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS OF OUR UNIVERSITY IN THE 2024-2025 FALL SEMESTER ARE SPECIFIED BELOW.
•The student is required to be in a position to graduate at the end of the FALL semester (including courses for which they will take the Graduation Exam)
•There must be no course conflict between the courses requested to be taken from other departments and the student's entire course schedule. (If it meets the rule for taking conflicting courses, the conflicting course can be taken. Click for details.)
•A maximum of 2 courses can be taken once only.
•The content of the course to be taken from other departments must be 75% compatible.
•It must not exceed the total course credit limit that can be taken in a semester.
•Uncompleted internships do not cause an issue.
•Students who have previously taken courses from other departments cannot take courses again. (Except for summer school)
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS WHO WILL TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS;
For the course you wish to take from another department, approval must be obtained from the faculty members whose names are specified in the list below*. (Approval can be obtained via institutional email address or in written and signed form on the printouts of course contents)
In the approval email, it must be clearly stated by the faculty member as in the example ”The content of the course MTM3512 Complex Analysis 1 is 75% compatible in terms of content with the course MAT4111 Theory of Complex Functions 1.”

•You must personally submit your obtained content approval and your signed petition to the Department Student Affairs between the dates of 24.09.2024 – 30.09.2024 (until the end of working hours).
(Petitions are not accepted by email).
•The date 24.09.2024 is the announcement date of courses closed by all departments. Make sure that the course you indicate in your petition is not closed.
•Petitions submitted before and/or after the specified dates will not be evaluated.
Petition for Taking Courses from Another Department
Important Information:
•Since the process of taking courses from another department coincides with the start of classes, you must attend the courses you specified in your petition even if your petition has not yet been concluded.
