In accordance with the decision stated below, students of our department must submit their signed petitions for conflicting courses to the Department Student Affairs between 22-23 September 2026.
Students wishing to apply via email should not add an electronic signature to their petitions. The petition must be printed out, signed with a wet signature, scanned, and sent to mtmblm@yildiz.edu.tr from their yildiz-domain email address.
NOTE: In the Excuse section of your petition, clearly state which course conflicts with which course. Petitions with the Excuse section left blank will not be processed.
The following principles apply to conflicting courses based on whether they have been taken previously:
a) If two practical courses conflict, these courses cannot be taken simultaneously, regardless of whether they have been taken before.
b) If one practical course and one theoretical course conflict, these courses may be taken provided that the theoretical course was previously taken and a passing grade other than F0 was obtained.
c) If two theoretical courses conflict, these courses may be taken provided that a passing grade other than F0 was obtained in at least one of them.
d) Students satisfying the requirements in items b and c of this paragraph may take one of the courses via the student information system and the other by decision of the faculty administrative board, only once in the same semester.
