In the event of a conflict in a student's course schedule during the Fall semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, it has been decided to allow the selection of a maximum of two conflicting courses, provided that one of the conflicting courses is delivered via the distance education method; and that attendance shall not be mandatory for the previously taken course being repeated. (Senate Decision)
In accordance with the specified decision, students of our department must apply with a petition to the Department Student Affairs unit on the dates of 29-30 September and 3 October 2023 for conflicting courses.
•Petitions via e-mail will not be accepted.
•Petitions submitted outside the application dates will not be evaluated.
Matters to be considered by students who will submit a petition for Conflicting Courses;
•Adding any one of the conflicting courses via OBS.
•Applying with a petition to the Department Student Affairs for the other course that could not be added via OBS due to the course conflict. (on the dates of 29-30 September and 3 October 2023)
•One of the conflicting courses must be online and the other must be face-to-face. It is not possible to take 2 online courses or 2 face-to-face courses due to conflict.
•For example, you selected the MTM3701 Mechanics 1 (Gr.2-Online) course via OBS. Since you cannot select the MTM2521 Numerical Analysis 1 (Face-to-face) course via OBS, you must apply with a petition.
