MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED BY STUDENTS WHO WISH TO TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS OF OUR UNIVERSITY IN THE 2025-2026 SPRING SEMESTER ARE STATED BELOW.
•The student is required to be eligible to graduate at the end of the SPRING semester (including the courses for which they will take the Graduation Exam)
•There must be no course conflict between the courses intended to be taken from other departments and any course in the student's entire course schedule. (If the rule for taking conflicting courses is met, a conflicting course may be taken. Click here for details.)
•A maximum of 2 courses may be taken, on a one-time basis.
•The content of the course to be taken from other departments must be 75% compatible.
•The total course credit limit that can be taken in a semester must not be exceeded.
•Internships not being completed does not pose an issue.
•Students who have previously taken courses from other departments cannot take courses again. (Except summer school)
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS WHO WILL TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS;
For the course you wish to take from another department, approval must be obtained from the faculty members whose names are listed below*. (Approval can be obtained via institutional e-mail address or in written-signed form on the printouts of course contents)
In the approval e-mail, it must be clearly stated by the faculty member as in the example "At least 65% of the local credits and 75% of the course content of the course MTM3512 Kompleks Analiz 1 is compatible with the course MAT4111 Kompleks Fonksiyonlar Teorisi 1".
List of Faculty Members from Whom Course Content Approval Must Be Obtained
•You must submit the content approval you received and your signed petition in person to the Department Student Affairs between 18.02.2026 – 25.02.2026 (until the end of working hours).
•Wednesday, 18 February 2026 is the announcement date for courses closed by all departments. Make sure that the course you specify in your petition is not closed.
•Petitions submitted before and/or after the specified dates will not be evaluated.

•Since the process of taking courses from another department coincides with the start of classes, you must attend the courses you specified in your petition, even if your petition has not yet been finalized.
