THE MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED BY STUDENTS WHO WISH TO TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS OF OUR UNIVERSITY IN THE 2025-2026 FALL SEMESTER ARE STATED BELOW.
•The student is required to be in a position to graduate at the end of the FALL semester (including courses for which they will take the Graduation Exam)
•There must be no course conflict between the courses requested from other departments and the student's entire course schedule. (If the rule for taking conflicting courses is satisfied, the conflicting course may be taken. Click for details.)
•A maximum of 2 courses may be taken, on a one-time basis only.
•The content of the course to be taken from other departments must have 75% equivalence.
•It must not exceed the total course credit limit that can be taken in a semester.
•Internships not being completed does not pose an issue.
•Students who have previously taken courses from other departments cannot take courses again. (Except for summer school)
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED BY STUDENTS WHO WILL TAKE COURSES FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS;
For the course you wish to take from another department, approval must be obtained from the faculty members listed below*. (Approval can be obtained via institutional e-mail address or written and signed on the course content printouts)
In the approval e-mail, it must be clearly stated by the faculty member similar to the example: "The content of the course MTM3512 Complex Analysis 1 is 75% equivalent in terms of content to the course MAT4111 Complex Functions Theory 1."

•You must submit the content approval you received and your signed petition in person to the Department Student Affairs between 24.09.2025 and 30.09.2025 (until the end of working hours).
•24.09.2025 is the date on which closed courses are announced by all departments. Make sure that the course you specify in your petition is not closed.
•Petitions submitted before and/or after the specified dates will not be evaluated.

•Since the process of taking courses from another department coincides with the start of classes, you must attend the courses specified in your petition, even if your petition has not yet been concluded.
