You must submit your Summer School petitions in person to our Department.
Summer School petitions submitted via email are not accepted.
YTU Students Taking Courses from YTU Summer School
Applications are made via OBS on the dates specified in the academic calendar. YTU students log in to the OBS system with their own username and password.
YTU students select the courses they wish to take via OBS and pay the designated fee for the courses.
Procedures regarding the Summer School course fees for the 2021-2022 academic year will be announced on the website of our university's Department of Health, Culture and Sports.
The total credits of the courses students take in Summer School cannot exceed 9 (nine) credits, provided they do not conflict.
YTU Students Taking Courses from Outside the Department (Excluding Service Courses - Courses Not in the Curriculum)
The total credits of the courses students take in Summer School cannot exceed 9 (nine) credits, provided they do not conflict.
The content of the course to be taken from other departments must be at least 75% equivalent, and this course must not conflict with other courses in your schedule.
If the course you wish to take will be offered by other departments in the summer school and is included in the List of Courses Available from Other Departments ;
You must apply to our Department with the Petition for Taking Courses from Another Department in Summer School by the end of working hours on 08.07.2022 at the latest.
After your application petition is approved by the department, you must submit the relevant petition in person to the Tuition Fees Office. After the relevant fee is paid to our University's Bank account provided to you by the Tuition Fees Office, the Tuition Fees Office will grant approval indicating that it has been paid on your relevant petition. Following the approval you receive indicating payment, you must submit your petition to our Department by the end of working hours on 08.07.2022 at the latest.
If the course you wish to take will be offered by other departments in the summer school and is not included in the List of Courses Available from Other Departments, the following steps must be followed.
You must forward the course contents to the faculty member teaching our department's equivalent course of the course intended to be taken from another department and obtain approval as indicated in the example below (this can be via institutional email address).
For example: The faculty member must grant approval stating: "The content of the course MTM3512 Complex Analysis 1 is 75% compatible in terms of content with the course MAT4111 Theory of Complex Functions 1."
Together with the approval received, you must fill out the Petition for Taking Courses from Another Department in Summer School and apply to our Department by the end of working hours on 08.07.2022 at the latest.

YTU Students Taking Courses from Other Higher Education Institutions
The universities deemed suitable for our YTU Department students to take courses from during the summer school are listed below.
•Istanbul Technical University
•Middle East Technical University
•Bogazici University
•Istanbul University
•Marmara University
If the course you wish to take will be offered by other universities in the summer school and is included in the List of Courses Available from Other Universities, you may register at the host university and take the relevant course WITHOUT SUBMITTING A PETITION to our Department.
You may take courses from other universities if the intended course is not offered in our Department or in case of a scheduling conflict with courses you are taking. Our students without any valid reason cannot take courses from other universities in the summer school.
The total credits of all courses taken during the summer school process must not exceed 9.
If it exceeds 9 credits, your courses taken from other universities or other departments will not be accepted under any circumstances.
If the course you wish to take will be offered by other universities in the summer school and is not included in the List of Courses Available from Other Universities, the following steps must be followed.
