Students who will take the graduation exam must apply in person to the Department Chairs of the programs they are enrolled in or to our Department's e-mail address (mtmblm@yildiz.edu.tr) with the Graduation Exam application petition.
Following the verification of curricula by the Department Chairs, students fulfilling the conditions specified below must be admitted to the Graduation Exam.
Administration of Graduation Exams: Wednesday, 31 August 2022
Submission of Exam Results to the Department Chair by Instructors: Thursday, 01 September 2022
Approval of Grades by Faculty Administrative Board Decision and Entry into the System: Friday, 02 September 2022
In order to take the graduation exam, it is mandatory to have fulfilled the requirements to enter the final exam of the relevant course. Students who cannot take graduation exams are not granted the right to an excuse exam for this exam.
For students who have at most two courses remaining for graduation, graduation exams are administered for their failed courses on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Students who cannot graduate because their cumulative grade point average is not 2.00 may take the graduation exam for at most two conditionally passed courses of their choice. (Amendment by Senate decision dated 09.06.2016 and numbered 02-13)
In order to be successful in the graduation exam, it is mandatory to obtain at least a CC grade. The grade obtained in the exam replaces the passing grade of that course. Midterm exams and in-term work are not included in the evaluation.
DC and lower grades obtained in the graduation exam will not be taken into account. Therefore, the student's grade in the relevant course will remain as the grade prior to taking the graduation exam.
Students who have a course they have never taken before or who have an F0 grade in any course even if they have taken it cannot take the graduation exam for any course.
After applications are received, applications of students that do not comply with the Graduation Exam Principles will not be evaluated, and in case they take the exam inadvertently, their exam results will be deemed invalid.
Students with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 and above can only take the exam for the courses they have failed.
Students with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) below 2.00 may take the exam for conditionally passed courses of their choice. Since a student can take the exam for at most 2 courses, the sum of their failed courses, if any, and the conditionally passed courses to be selected cannot exceed 2. In order to register for the exam of a conditionally passed course, the student must first register for the failed course, if any.
For the semester in which the graduation exam will be taken, students who have not made course registrations but will benefit from the graduation exam must pay the tuition fee / student contribution for the semester in which they will take the exam. (Added by Senate decision 16.04.2015/01-06.)
